THE STORY

An Open Door is a suspense drama with a metaphysical twist. Starting as a very dark and foreboding story, it features a surprising upswing into light by the end. Our hero is trapped in a prison teaching position and has a family with debts and responsibilities; however, his relationship with his wife has deteriorated at the family home front and his job has turned from teaching to becoming a Crown Witness for the worst prison riot ever, resulting in threats from the MOB. A metaphysical mentor then comes to his rescue to guide him out of harm’s way.

Peter Daniels, Producer

Peter was born in New Westminister, British Columbia, Canadian 1949. Peter completed high school in Dawson Creek, British Columbia 1968, and then attended Kootney School of Art and Notre Dame University in Nelson, British Columbia at which he received a Commercial Art Certificate, a Fine Art Certificate, a Fine Art Diploma and a B.F.A. (completed in 1974).

After graduation, Peter taught art to local arts to community groups throughout British Columbia. His formal teaching came when he was hired to teach art from grade 8-12 at St. Michael’s University School in Victoria, British Columbia where he assisted as a live-in house parent and developed the Baccalaureate Program.

Peter’s next teaching job came as an Art Instructor for the Canadian Federal Government under the Solicitor General’s Office at Matsqui Institution. Peter taught art therapy to convicts for almost 10 years. During his 10-year teaching cycle, he was able to open retail representation in galleries in Canada and he was exhibited in Habitat Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1979.

Currently, Peter has completed a Feature Film script “An Open Door” on his adventures as an art instructor at the prison where he taught. A budget is ready for distribution of the film is being established. Peter will be presenting it at many film festivals.

Rose has extensive experience in a wide range of marketing functions, communications, advertising, branding, and social media. Rose’s expertise is in the development and implementation of the companies branding strategies. The intention is to ensure all marketing strategies achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identify and execute improvements and lead generation for raising capital. Rose also organizes and sets up campaigns for trade shows bringing events to the mainstream. The goal is always to create an environment for the needs of the project to have a clear organized path and ready for production.Peter has been responsible for the development of the screenplay, the budget, the story-board, the offering memorandum with the private placement, the R.O.I. paper, the comparative film report, the treatment and synopsis.
